EPS FOAM SHAPES & TRIMFoam shapes can be added to any type building system and provide architectural elements such as quoins (pronounced ‘coins’), keystones, arches, cornices, and decorative bands. These shapes are attached to the basecoat with an adhesive prior to applying the finish coat. If you have particular preferences for foam shapes, it is advisable to let the estimator know at the outset, since it will affect the cost. Our foam trim process is as follows: for standard 2 x 4, 2 x 6, 2 x 8, etc., trim, we use the appropriate size covered with heavy gauge netting and acrylic bonded sand and cement. For ornamental architectural shapes, we use heavy gauge netting and acrylic bonded sand and cement. Decorative foam trim cannot stand up to a lot of abuse and is not recommended for high traffic areas. We also offer another application; for standard 2 x 4, 2 x 6, 2 x 8, etc., trim, we can install this foam trim at the lathing stage and cover with wire mesh and corner-aid for a highly durable foam pop-out. |
